The chapter met at Broad Ripple Brewpub today to discuss current project activities and upcoming fundraisers.
The Kenya project was closed out successfully. This brings the chapter’s effort to build twelve spring boxes and a footbridge to completion. As part of the program, the chapter was able to transfer spring box construction knowledge and techniques to local community members. They continue to implement this technology on their own after the chapter has left.
The Ecuador program continues with construction of springboxes in Guangaje programmed for the September 16th 2018, implementation trip. This is a joint effort with the Trine University student chapter. Six students, their faculty advisor, and mentor from the Indianapolis chapter will travel to the community for the second time. This will lead to a more plentiful water supply for the community.
The 4th Annual EWB Kickball Tournament has been officially scheduled for Friday, August 17th. Guidon Design won the tournament last year. Will they be back to defend this year against the mounting roster of challengers…?
Sponsorship opportunities will be available. Stay tuned for future announcements with additional information.
